Agents! Drink your greens!

Some agents use Ingress as part of a health, fitness and well being routine.  We have agents with a wide range of dietary requirements and preferences, agents who are easing back in to physical activity after illness or injury and agents who like to pack themselves full of good foody stuff before heading out on a long mission.  If you’re going to be free running around the city, an energy boosting drink makes sense!  It’s also an equally good option if you’re doing tram-by hacking  🙂

Green smoothies and juices have really kicked off in recent years as more people are ‘enlightened’ about the benefits.  Here are a selection of green smoothies and juices that provide you with a nutrient dense energy boost.  Try one, then see how well you can vault over the fence at St. Kilda Cemetery.

Here’s a raw smoothie recipe submitted by Agent JamDonut.  “You can’t taste the spinach”, writes Agent JamDonut. “Honest.”

In a blender, whiz up the following (serves 1):

* 1/4 cup unsalted unroasted almonds

* 2 small to medium (or 1 very large) frozen bananas

* 1Tbs cacao nibs OR about 1 tsp of raw cacao powder

* 2 pitted large Medjool dates (if you use dates that are ‘harder’ you may need to soak them for about half an hour first then drain)

* 1 cup of water (more or less depending on the thickness you prefer)

* handful of baby spinach leaves
